ABOUT ME
Born and raised in western Kentucky, I worked as an automotive mechanic until deciding my problem-solving skills were better utilized in geoscience. I earned a B.S in Petroleum Geology and an M.S. in Geology from the University of Oklahoma, then headed back across the Mississippi to my home state to earn my Ph.D. at the University of Kentucky. I have experience in the oil and gas industry, where I worked as an intern and concentrated on petrophysics and structural analysis on the development side of the business.
I spend my free time with my wife and kids. We love to go outside, particularly if there are mountains or an ocean involved. I also love to golf and watch as much Tottenham Hotspur soccer, St. Louis Cardinal baseball, Kentucky Wildcat basketball, and college football as I can. Family experiences have made me a big supporter of pediatric cancer research, as well as any organizations that support those kids.
